This Privacy Policy explains how WEO API Network ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the WEO API routing service ("the Service"). We designed the Service as a stateless proxy and aim to collect the minimum data needed to operate it reliably and securely.

2. Information We Collect

We collect:

• Account data: the email address you provide to join the waitlist or create an account, and the access keys we issue to you.
• Usage metadata: request timestamps, token counts, model identifiers, and status codes used for billing, rate limiting, and diagnostics.
• Technical data: IP address and request headers used for security, abuse prevention, and routing.

3. Request and Response Content

We operate a stateless proxy architecture. We do not store, inspect, or retain the prompt inputs or model outputs that pass through the routes for our own purposes. Content is held transiently in memory only as needed to forward the request and return the response. Where you enable semantic caching, cached fragments are stored only to serve your own subsequent matching requests and can be disabled.

4. Upstream Providers

To fulfill your requests, we forward them to upstream model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Their handling of the forwarded content is governed by their own privacy policies and data usage terms. We encourage you to review the policies of the providers whose models you use.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
• Meter usage and process billing against your prepaid balance.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
• Communicate with you about your account and service changes.

6. Data Retention

Usage metadata is retained for as long as needed for billing, accounting, and security purposes, then deleted or aggregated. Account data is retained while your account is active. Transient request and response content is not persisted beyond the lifetime of the request, except for optional caches under your control.

7. Security

Traffic between you and the Service is encrypted in transit using standard SSL/TLS. We apply access controls and monitoring to protect our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

8. Your Choices

You may request access to or deletion of your account data, and you can stop using the Service at any time. You can disable optional caching for your traffic. To exercise these choices, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
